The learning outcomes for the semester are as follows:
- Gain Shakespeare Literacy
- Analyze Shakespeare Critically
- Engage Shakespeare Creatively
- Share Shakespeare Meaningfully
- Gain Digital Literacy
I could say that I will focus on getting all the readings done and thinking critically as I read it. I could also say that I will prioritize in order to get everything done in a timely manner, and pay attention in class. For me, I don't think that will be too much of a challenge. Instead, I plan on focusing particularly on the "sharing engaging Shakespeare creatively" and "sharing Shakespeare meaningfully" points. It is really difficult for me to think outside of the box sometimes, especially if I am not particularly confident on the subject. I hope to as I understand the material more, to be able to consider possibilities that I wouldn't typically thought of. Also, I don't particularly care to share my opinions with others, so this will be difficult for me. I hope to be more willing to share my thoughts with others by choosing to not care so much about what others think of my answers. I plan on being more open to sharing my experiences with others. One of the ways I can do this is through this blog. The more open I am as I write on here, the better I think I will become overall in not just Shakespeare, but all points in life.
So, here's to a good semester of trying and hopefully succeeding :)
You can do it! I totally understand what you mean about not caring to share your opinion with others--that used to be me too, and still sometimes is. But I'll bet the requirement to blog and comment on each other's blogs will help us both with that. I used to be really shy about being myself in my writing and in classes, but I've gotten better at that, and I plan to really make an effort to do that in my blogging this semester too. I can't wait to hear what you have to say, and your opinions about Shakespeare!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I will agree that this sharing thing mixed with the blogging is going to be hard. Don't be shy though. What's the worst that could happen? That you change someone's life slightly through your words? That's what we are here on earth to do.
ReplyDeleteI am finding that I'm spending more time trying to blog than actually reading the material. It's a little dysfunctional to me in that sense. There seems to be way too many things to pay attention to.
Your plan is great! I really like that you're going to focus on engaging Shakespeare creatively and sharing Shakespeare meaningfully because I think as you do that, you'll apply it to yourself more effectively and bam! ¡Shakespeare revelation!
ReplyDeleteYeeeeah! Go Anne!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, but as I was reading this, all I could think of was this http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&feature=endscreen&v=VZ2HcRl4wSk
Don't worry; I don't think many of us will be judging you on your thoughts and opinions. :) I'm sure most of us have the same worries as you there.
